It’s time to stop blaming barbie. We say she is the one who set the high standards for the “perfect" body. As a child, I played with Barbie dolls, I thought they were pretty but I didn’t want to look like them. I was too little to even care about my weight. It’s not a doll’s fault, she is an innocent toy. Look at the women on the cover of magazines. They’re as big as twig and they’re flawless - thanks to photoshop. Watch tv, you will see a commercial promoting weight loss. It’s all around us. No one wants to look like Barbie, everyone wants to look like those flawless photoshoped models. I’m sorry for the rant but I had to put it out there.
Stop blaming a doll for our world’s twisted view on beauty.
*I know this isnt very good quality, just learning to use my camera*
